Your support makes a difference Only 15% of our funding comes from The United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. In order for us to provide assistance to Irving residents experiencing a temporary crisis, we rely on the community's generous contributions. In 2007, we helped more than 25,000 Irving residents—that's about 12% of the city's population! Irving Cares, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your contributions to Irving Cares, Inc. are tax-deductible to the extent of the law. We will happily provide receipts to evidence your donations. Please choose one of the many ways to give: 1. ONLINE Make a secure online contribution using your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express card. You may also designate your donation in honor of someone special to you, or in memory of someone who has passed away. 2. MAIL A CHECK to Irving Cares P.O. Box 177425 Irving, TX 75017-7425 3. CORPORATE MATCHING Your donations to Irving Cares could double thanks to your employer. In most cases, you'll simply have to complete a form naming Irving Cares, and the amount you donated, and your company will match the amount of your donation to Irving Cares. Find out if your company is one of the many that offers corporate matching today! 4. MEET SPECIFIC NEEDS Want to know where your donation goes? When you donate online you can apply it to one or some of our agency's most urgent needs: $25 for one client's prescription assistance $200 for one month of gasoline for our Patient Transportation van $300 to help a family pay one month's rent $500 to help 5 families with one week of nutritious groceries 5. DONATE IN-KIND You get the same tax-deductible benefits when you make our wishes come true and make in-kind donations. 6. SHOP WITH IRVING CARES You can help us raise funds every time you shop at either Kroger or Tom Thumb. When you use your Kroger Share Card, a percentage of your grocery purchases will go to Irving Cares. It's easy to join, use, and contribute! Send an email to Leigh Eitson at leitson@irvingcares.org and we'll help you start helping Irving Cares right away. Tom Thumb's Good Neighbor Program works the same way: when you shop, we get a percentage contribution. Simply go to the customer service counter at any Tom Thumb store and ask them to link your Reward Card with our Good Neighbor Number: 1012. 7.
