Find Help / Employment Services

The Employment Services Program promotes self-sufficiency in Irving residents by helping them find and maintain stable employment.

Job-seekers are invited to attend a Job Search Seminar each Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., where they can learn job search techniques, interview skills and resume preparation, plus gain referral sources for a successful job search.

The Employment Services Manager is available Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for one-on-one meetings to identify and help overcoming barriers to employment like transportation, childcare expenses, education level, job skills, uniforms, and work wardrobe.

Irving Cares partners with the Texas Workforce Center, NorthLake College, the Urban League, the Irving Public Library, and others to provide resources for job referrals, education and training to job-seekers.
