Irving Cares helps residents experiencing a temporary financial crisis.
We have limited assistance for eligible residents who need help with:
- rent or mortgage
- utilities (TXU, Direct Energy, Direct Energy PowerToGo, First Choice Power, Atmos Gas, City of Irving Water)
- prescriptions
- transportation
For help with rent or utilities, those in need must pre-qualify by phone by calling (972) 721-9181, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Those receiving assistance are required to attend a money management training class.
Irving Cares is a partnering agency. Residents work with a case manager to determine how much they are able to pay depending on their financial situation.
